We have a week until the Public Hearing for the Appeal of the Location Of IMACA’s Safe Parking Project I am asking those of you that sup...port the school farm and Bishop FFA, to write a letter of objection for the location of IMACA's "Safe Parking Project " at the Nazarene Church. The school farm’s 88 acres is located on three sides of the church property. The student's project animals are housed and exercised in the pastures next to and behind the Nazarene Church. Bishop FFA is also a year round program, students often frequent the farm at all hours depending on their animals needs. The farm has been in this location since 1943 and has always been a safe place for learning. Our school farm should remain a safe sanctuary for the children of the Eastern Sierra . We are fortunate to have such a rare treasure of ranching and farming culture available to our youth as a part of the educational curriculum. Why would anyone want to risk an outstanding youth program and the children that attend? My concern is public safety and the close proximity of the Safe Parking Project to school campuses . There may be a place in our community for a homeless parking lot, but NOT directly adjacent to a school .
