El Monte-Rosemead Adult School has received the El Civics/IELCE:Making A Difference In the Community Award. The California Department of Education has recognized EMRAS as making a difference in the community through El Civics and IELCE(Integrated English Literacy and Civics Education. Mike is taking ESL and Construction classes and has been at EMRAS for a year. Muhammad has completed 65 credits towards his high school diploma and is also taking Parenting classes. Yan Wei is taking both ESL and Keyboarding classes. She’s been at EMRAS for 4 years. Gus is currently taking medical classes in the CTE program.
