Thank you Joel Black for sharing this. This is exactly how we feel here at EmpowerTech. Keep checking your Facebook for updates we are soon to become the only employment center in LA County. From training on technology to interview skills to finding jobs for people with both physical and developmental disabilities. We're on the rise and we can't wait to take our disabled Brothers and sisters with us. Our ultimate goal as always gainful employment
EmpowerTech Students sent letters, food, water and donations to the Ridgecrest and Torna local Red Cross to say we care about the families of those who were affected by the earthquakes.
EmpowerTech Students come together twice each month to be a part of the TRADE Disability Sensitivity Committee in which they discuss problems and concern in the workplace and community. Today students discussed safety on the 4th of July such as protecting your ears from the loud noise by using earplugs, being safe around fireworks, not looking at fireworks if the light bother your eyes. You can have fun but be safe!
This week EmpowerTech is featuring Alexander, Brandon and Alec with their supportive staff and mentors who assist them in achieving their goals of learning Microsoft Office Applications.
Christiana is a bright and caring student. While attending EmpowerTech, she has used the skills she's learned to attend Modules at UCLA. She loves working with children and helping others in any way that she can.
This is Jorge. Jorge doesn’t have access to a computer at home. Jorge is happy to have the opportunity to attend Empowertech because he learned to send and receive emails. He has mastered emailing and sends the best pictures.

Last week, hundreds of people lined the streets of Gresham to pay tribute to their delivery guy. https://cbsn.ws/2Om7lLu See more
This is so moving. How a Hollywood blockbuster is helping a Lancashire boy who has autism. Turn the sound up! (Jake knew he was being filmed and gave his permission for the footage to be shown)
This is just beautiful
There’s hope. I just love this
This Chicago Cubs fan with Down syndrome had one wish: To sing the national anthem at Wrigley Field. And after raising almost $20k for the Special Olympics, his dream came true last night. https://cbsn.ws/2oWfZSK
