I love this age and their wonder with the world. Seriously go look up videos of toddlers discovering their shadows, it’s hilarious and a great pick me up today.

Little bby is due this week!! I am sure that many of you are feeling as anxious about today (and this week) as I am...I do not have faith that this will be a fair election but whatever comes next we will be in this together. Vote for those who aren’t yet born, vote for the rights of people that are different than you, vote for your daughters and their future rights. Vote to protect vulnerable communities, it’s our moral obligation

I hope everyone had a fun weekend! We stayed home and had a mini party, Maddie has awesome taste in dance music and I’m painfully shy when it comes to dancing that at home dance parties is how we roll! Covid has made us be creative about how to create fun and for that I’m grateful.

Just a little joy for you on this Friday! Our Halloween plans got canceled so we are going to bake and have a classic movie marathon-got any movie recommendations for us? We already watched Little Shop of Horrors this week

The sweetest big sister! When I was 6 my moms adopted my little sister and I was over the MOON to finally have my own baby. I adored (and still do) Autumn, I would make my parents find us matching clothes, again think about that age gap, it was harder than you would think! Every summer it was just the two of us-exploring Hawaii and pretending that I was her turtle since (mermaid don’t ride horses). Having a sister means I have a best friend for life and I am forever grateful that she is mine.

As my bestie was getting ready for her session she realized all that her valuable jewelry had been stolen..another hit in what has been quite a shit year but she still came, she still showed up and made her kids laugh while she was near tears. I am in awe of you parents- you push through your own pain to always show up for your families. You are amazing

Growing up next to the beach was my favorite and somewhere I frequented even as I got older (most likely doing illegal things but we don’t need to get into what a of teen I was!). I love getting to share Alameda with families. Do you still live near where you grew up? Personally the only reason I would leave the Bay is if we cannot afford to stay here. Someone I know recently lost their family home to the fires and it has me thinking a lot about our connections to the places we grew up and how powerful they are in forming who we are.

Last year we were drunkenly talking about how you were trying to get pregnant and now you are! I am so happy for you and your growing lil fam It’s so funny that every time I have session planned in SoCal we have the cloudiest weather! I guess I always think of SoCal as so sunny!
