Emadco Disposal

Thanks to all the senior students at Minarets High School that put on the Non-Hazardous waste drop off event last Saturday. It was sponsored by EMADCO & Madera County. Great to see Jared Carter (Public Works Director) take time out of his Weekend to lend a hand.

Due to the excessive amount of snow at bass lake today we will not be able to pick trash and recycling up in that area. We will attempt to go up there as soon as the we can. All of our customers in Ahwahnee, Coarsegold & Raymond that have service today please have your cart out as usual. We are making every attempt to get as many customers as we can in these trying conditions while also trying to keep our drivers safe.

Anybody who was missed due to fallen trees on Tuesday and Wednesday, we are going to do our best to get to those streets today. Our drivers made notes on those 2 days of the areas they could not access. If your cans are out today, we should be by to get them. Thank you for your patience through this.

Our power finally came bank on around 1:45 pm. We have been unable to check voicemails or answer phones since the power first went out. Our voicemail box was FULL. We are busy checking the voicemails and still trying to answer the calls. Please be patient, we are doing our best to get everybody's calls addressed. Stay safe.

EMADCO will be hosting another organic recycling outreach event this Friday for our commercial customers. Please join us in our car park between noon and 2pm if you would like to learn about recent California assembly laws impacting commercial collections. We will be offering hot dogs and drinks once again. Please join us if you have the chance.

This Friday, December 11th, Emadco will be having our 2nd Commercial Organic Workshop at our office from Noon - 2pm. This event is to share the information regarding CalRecycle's mandatory Organic Recycling for our Commercial Customers. Of course we will be practicing COVID safety measures including face masks and social distancing. So if you own a local business and want to learn what the new laws are regarding Organic Recycling, come on down and learn.

Happy Thanksgiving to everybody. This post is to inform people of our pick up schedule for this holiday week. Wednesday will be as normal. Thursday customers will be picked up Friday. Friday customers will also be picked up on Friday. Please remember to recycle and be safe.

Many thanks to the Commercial customers who showed up for our Commercial Organics workshop today. It was a pleasure answering questions about the upcoming changes with AB1826 and SB1383. Also, thank you to Tom Wheeler and Greg Holt (Congressman Tom McClintock's Representative) for showing up. It was a successful event and everybody learned some valuable information.

Just to let everybody know, we are still running our normal routes today. With the power outage we can't answer the phones and our computers are down. We will be up and running the office once the power is back. Just wanted people to know to put their cans out.

An update from EMADCO disposal. We are providing service to all of the customers we can gain access to that are normally picked up today however if your area is under full evacuation we will not be able to service you. Our drivers have spoken to CHP and they requested we stay out of affected areas due to the size our of vehicles. Please understand we need and want to make sure our drivers are kept safe through this trying times. Thank YOU for your understanding.
