Elvis Honeymoon Hideaway 04.02.2021

Elvis. No surname. No comma separating the name from the date. Just Elvis. As if the world ever had only one Elvis. Elvis Presley. The King. The man who made rock 'n' roll a international language . The man with a voice so majestic that one could ride up to heaven on it. The one who shook those notorious legs. The one who sang as if God had crafted his larynx out of honey. That man once stood here at 1350 Ladera Circle, Palm Springs. He lived here in 1966. This is where on May 1, 1967, he carried his just-married bride Priscilla up the stairs. This is Elvis Presley's honeymoon home..

In 1989 Michael was interviewed by Valley People in The Desert Sun and In 1994 seeing the article, Leonard contacted him to come over to the house, they have been friends ever since. At that time it was called, "The Honeymoon Hideaway" Michael set up tours for the home to get it started. It didn't become "The Elvis Honeymoon Hideaway" until Priscilla Presley visited for a television shoot in 2005. Michael continued the tours for a few years until his first child was born. Le...onard rented out the house to overnight guests for awhile. In 2005 he started with concerts that we're held at "Copy Cats" "The Annenberg" and then the house, with the help of Elvis fan clubs. Then in 1997 the city came in with a law suit...they we're trying to state he couldn't hold events their because of the location. He had to stop everything until the battle was over. Good news is: He won that law suit and continued having the tours and events. Stay tuned...more to come later. See more

Here's to "The Elvis Guy" who originated the tours and started the business in 1994 for The Elvis Honeymoon Hideaway. Michael's legacy is being placed in an Elvis room at the owner's house located in Boston. The first weekend he greeted over 900 guests with 2 DJ's from the local radio stations, the Mayors office, all the local business and the news station. He brought the house to life for all to enjoy and since then from each tour guide that was hired over the years, to the caretakers that had the privilege to live there for a time. Elvis stayed alive in Palm Springs. Thank you Michael for making the magic happen for them so they could be creative in their passion for Elvis too.
