Below are the income limits per filing status and max credit amounts per eligible dependents the current 2019 tax filing year and for 2020. Q: What if for the 2019 year I was a single parent, HOH filing status with two qualified dependents and earned $48,000 in wages for the year, do I qualify for EIC? A: No, max earned income limit for HOH with two dependents is $46,703. In this example, the Taxpayer missed out on $5,828 in EIC by exceeding the EIC limit of $46,703 by $1,293 in earned income totaling $48,000.
