So here we go, I've been battling a 2nd bout of cancer.... I kicked it's ass the first time but I guess it needed to be shown again...lol. I'm getting back up and going. After the first of the year I'll be starting cerakote finishes. Working @ getting all the equipment in, set up and start running pieces. Also on the near horizon is a 06 RM125/250 Build. This should turn heads and double takes when it's done. Pictures of the new builds and work being done will be posted. To all who stop by, we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a safe and happy new year. Enjoy life, family and be nice to each other (at least try). Keep it upright and on the gas. Cheers!
Got to get some of that........
Her's the tank, Before and after. No this wasn't filled with bondo. We worked about 95% of the metal out. Budget didn't allow splitting the tank so we made and bent rods to work most of it out through the neck. Tank was striped down to aluminum finish 36 grit finish and a skim coat of plastic was used to smooth out the imperfections. tank was then etched primed followed by catalyzed primer and then blocked 3X's. Finish is Tahitian Red then cleared. Tank was Re-sanded logos and labels were placed and then clear coated again. Cap was still in good condition so was re-used and new petcock was installed.
Bobs 1979 CR250 Project finished For my part
Here it is, the finished product. We performed all body and paint restoration, sand and media blasting, refinish work electrical, engine, and completion. This was done as a retirement send off for George Wright at local 944 in so cal.
We had an 1977 Elsinore MR175 come in to get cleaned up..........
Here's a couple picks of the Elsi when she came in. Pretty much complete . Just a little under the weather when we started on it.
Sorry to everyone for the lack of time and updates. Had some health issues, but coming back. Here's the after pictures of the 74. Didn't do a full restoration for Chris. He plans on riding the heck out of it. Have fun Chris and thanks for bringing the bike in. We just cleaned it up a little and made her run.
It seems to start at a young age and you just never seem to out grow it for some reason.
Maybe it's just me ?
Pretty much sums it up.
