The El Segundo Chamber's "El Segundo Gives Thanks" initiative was a huge success thanks to our incredible sponsors: Presenting Platinum Partner - Chevron Gold Partners - Continental Development Corporation, Mattel Silver Partners - Boeing, Raytheon Bronze Partners - Aerospace, AT&T, Kiwanis Club of El Segundo... Thank you to our Community Partners as well for helping spread the word...El Segundo Education Foundation, El Segundo Council of PTA's, Kiwanis Club of El Segundo, Rotary Club of El Segundo, El Segundo Woman's Club and the Automobile Driving Museum. We had just shy of 1000 receipts submitted for the drawing which equated to $60,000 spent in El Segundo during the four weeks! We purchased 179 gift cards for El Segundo businesses with a total value over $7200 through the generosity of our sponsors! Lily Craig from Chevron and I loved handing out the gift cards to all the winners! Thank you to all who supported our El Segundo businesses during this holiday season and throughout the year!

The Chamber would like to give a big CONGRATULATIONS to Music on Main who is celebrating their 10th anniversary! Music education is so important. Our own Chamber CEO Marsha started playing the clarinet and saxophone when she was 11 years old. Those early years of private music lessons took her through many school music groups, the Purdue "All-American" Marching Band, playing in Osaka, Japan, on Caribbean cruises and eventually to playing in a 17-piece big band in Los Angeles. And it all started with private music lessons as a youngster! You never know where music lessons might lead you!
