I found something I'm pretty sure was hidden on iStock. Check out these charming little characters! https://www.istockphoto.com/portfolio/kouichi_chiba

Unit 14 is all the Graphic Designer positions. They're being negotiated this month. It'll be interesting to see how this turns out. https://www.seiu1000.org/unit-14-printing-trades

I totally agree. Orange is enigmatic when designing for accessibility. I've often thought black on orange looks muddier than white on orange (or at least an orange like this).

Oh man, this was a great article on how subjective color definitions can be. It reminds me that when I was about 8 or 10 I felt like I suddenly discovered turquoise, teal and aquamarine. These colors just didn't seem to exist before and I suddenly could see them. I wonder if our eyes are still developing color sensitivity in our youth (they certainly start to degrade at a certain point).

I'm happy to be gainfully employed, but if I ever were in a situation with no reasonable prospects, I'd hope to land on my unreasonable feet as well as Athens-based architect Katerina Kamprani.

Flicks are a nice idea, but it's too bad they picked a word with the same first letter as "frame." As in "FPS," frames per second.

This is the first I've heard of this idea and it makes a lot of carbon-footprint sense: https://quharrison.com/cloud-desktops-virtual-desktop-inf/

Fixing a hacked website is super scary. I've had to defer to security specialists before, but this is informative if you ever have to do it yourself. https://phirebase.com//how-to-clean-up-a-hacked-wordpres/

I love this quote: America needs energy independence, job creation, and clean air and water for working families. And Republicans are poised to be innovators in the field since free enterprise can solve problems more efficiently than big government. American ingenuity applied to solar power will mean economic growth and prosperity while ensuring our beautiful country stays that way. Solar power: Energy, made in America.

I love reading Samuel's review of User Onboarding interfaces. This one is particularly educational and... topical. http://www.useronboard.com/how-united-onboards-new-users/

I just saw "CitizenFour" on Netflix last week, so the subject of privacy has been present on the mind. That's the documentary about Edward Snowdon as he released the info on the US government's invasive surveillance of the world. Now the ISPs are about to get a bill signed so they can sell all our usage info. It's more than a bit creepy.

Really Mansell, you're getting pushed out of shape because another city down the highway from you used a similar mix of Helvetica for their mark? How original was the Chilliwack logo to begin with? The mountains are the cool part, not the lettering. The typography is an ooooooooooold formula.
