As we know, #SocialDistancing has everyone feeling a little off. Though your daily routine feels a bit different, it is not the time to fall off the skincare bandwagon. In fact, this is the perfect time to put in the extra work to achieve your #SkinGoals! Please enjoy 6 quick tips to keep your skin in check during this unusual time! . Tip #1: Ice, don’t pick! While you may have extra time in front of your vanity, this is not an opportunity to pick and squeeze. Icing your brea...kouts for 1-2 minutes in circular motions will help reduce inflammation and calm redness. Picking and squeezing always does more harm than good. . Tip #2: Breathe! Stress can result in hormone fluctuations, leading to more oil production and hormonal breakouts. Take the time to de-stress, with meditation, yoga, or a good book, and let your skin breathe while you’re at it! . Tip #3: Don’t run out of product! Keep a close eye on your product levels. If you’re running low, contact your acne specialist ASAP! A few days without your essentials can backfire long term! . Tip #4: Stick to your routine, while you’re out of your routine! Days spent at home can become a blur. Before you know it, the clock reads noon and you’re questioning if you performed your skincare. This twice daily to-do is non-negotiable and skipping your routine will result in breakouts to follow. Make it the first thing you do in the morning, and a must-do before changing into your bedtime jammies! . Tip #5: Hydrate...Drink more water! For optimal skin cell and body function, you’ll need to stay hydrated! Keep track of how much water you’re drinking throughout the day and set a hydration goal for each day. . Peanuts are rich in androgen, a precursor to testosterone that triggers the production of oil.
