Food Distribution Event in Santa Ana on Saturday The non-profit Power of One Foundation will be holding a food distribution event at the Santa Ana Main Place Ma...ll on Saturday July 18, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The event is free, and open to anyone in need of food assistance. For everyone's safety, please only send one car per household, with one person in the car, and make sure the trunk of the vehicle is empty. Due to the numbers of people expected to participate, we expect significant impacts to the surrounding streets, including those in Orange, specifically Main and La Veta. Attached is a map with the route that will be used to line-up cars for the event. Participants will enter by lining up on northbound Bristol Street at 17th Street. Once that is filled the starting point will be moved to south of 17th Street past Washington Avenue. To assist with the traffic flow for this event, many streets in the area, including eastbound La Veta Avenue and southbound Main Street to Town and Country Road will be closed Saturday morning to through traffic until 12 p.m. For more information about the food distribution event, visit https://www.powerofonefoundation.org.

Latinos are proud. We are proud of our culture and our character. At times, our pride can lead us to be stubborn. But when it comes to asking for help with essentials in the middle of a pandemic, we shouldn’t be.
