It's Friday and we "Tied One On" for our Happy Hour! We enjoyed this theme a little too much. Residents had fun wearing their neck and bow ties. Are you look...ing for a community where you can still be active and have fun? Are you looking for a place where you can still find purpose in your everyday life? AlmaVia of San Francisco is the home for you! Visit https://ecs.page.link/x7b9S to learn more about our vibrant community today! See more
Isn't November amazing? A whole month dedicated to #gratitude. "As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them." John F. Kennedy
Thank you for all you do for AlmaVia of Camarillo, Joaquin! Congratulations
We had a HALL-o-ween Party at AlmaVia of Camarillo this weekend. Although it wasn't our usual fun all together, we still had a frighteningly good time! Joann...a dressed up as the "Blue Lady of AVC" and Mary was the grandmother of Emperor Palpatine from Star Wars! Mary Jo and Mrytle are showing off all the treats our residents enjoyed to celebrate Halloween. Also, all our Golden Girls were back together! See more
The residents at our communities have such amazing stories. Jim's artwork is just a sliver of his life. We are happy to celebrate him and showcase his beautiful artwork at AlmaVia of San Francisco!
More Election Day fun facts! There are 22 countries around the world where voting is mandatory, like Australia, Costa Rica, and Greece. The United States had an abysmal 60.1% voter turnout in the 2016 presidential election slightly down from its highest turnout in the last 50 years, which was only 61.65% in 2008. Make sure you get out and vote today!
Happy Election Day. The first Tuesday in November seems kind of arbitrary for Election Day, right? Not so. When our country was founded, residents in rural America had to travel a significant distance to get to a county seat to vote. Since traveling on Sunday was not expected, giving constituents Monday to travel made Tuesday an ideal day for voting. Farmers were also the driver behind selecting the month of November. It falls when the harvest is over, but the weather is stil...l good enough to travel. Remember to get out and vote today if you haven't already! #Vote #Election2020 #America #SeniorLiving
It's Election Day! Be sure to get out and vote if you haven't already. #SeniorLiving #ElectionDay #Vote
Thank you, everyone, who helped support AlmaVia of San Francisco! They raised more than $2,400 to benefit their life enrichment programming as well as The San Francisco SPCA.
Thank you KTVU Fox 2 for showing what is now happening at our Mercy Brown Bag Program Chapman St. warehouse. We had to move to all home deliveries because of shelter in place, so we make thousands of bags every week there and volunteers or DoorDash drivers bring it to the doorsteps of our grocery recipients. None of this could happen without this amazing team. Thank you!!
When was the last time you saw purpose and presence all in one place? We got this covered, and you can be an Elder Care Hero with a gift to http://www.givingeca.org.
We hope you all have a Spook-tacular Day! Happy Halloween from all of us at Elder Care Alliance. #SeniorLiving #HappyHalloween #Halloween #SeniorCare #ElderCareAlliance
