Hello New Life Church and friends. This Sunday we will receive Communion together. We have prepackaged elements. Very safe and clean. Three ways to be prepared.... 1. Come to the 10:30 am service this Sunday. Masks required. We have cleaned and sanitized the chairs and facilities. We are ready. Slip out following the service. We are distanced in our seating as well. 2. Stop by the church office this afternoon, anytime Thursday, or Friday between 9 am and 4:00 pm and pick up the pre-packaged elements. 3. Provide your own elements. They are only symbols, so feel free to get whatever you have. But, be purposeful and get them prepared ahead of time for your entire family. Our chairs have arrive!! Yeah!! They look amazing. From after they were unloaded off the truck to them being set up. Loving the new configuration. Let’s fill them up with people seeking New Life in Christ!! Thank you to everyone who gave so generously.

Good evening New Life Church. I am excited to let you know that we are joining several other churches next Saturday, June 20th from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. It's called "WE PRAY SAN DIEGO." It will be an incredible time to join other churches and people to pray for our city. Get there early and let's represent El Cajon New Life well. We are meeting at the corner of Navajo and Lake Murray Blvd. in La Mesa.... Here is a message from the "We Pray San Diego" team ... We are excited that you are ready to pray for San Diego and your community!! We currently have over 2,200 people signed up with 70+ partnering churches across eight locations. Additional locations will be finalized by Monday night. Below are some things to consider and review to have the best prayer experience on Saturday, June 20 from 9am to 10am. What to Bring A mat, towel, cushion, or pad to use as you kneel in prayer (or a chair if you prefer to sit). Headphones to assist in listening to the guided prayer electronically with your phone or other devices. This guide is optional and is meant to be a resource during your prayer time. We will send out the downloadable links for the audio and print versions this week in English, Spanish and a version for Kids. Wear a shirt to represent your church or ministry team (optional) A heart that represents God well in our communities. This day has been set aside to bring churches, city officials and people from all over the county to come together in unity, to call out to God and pray for businesses to be restored, families to be reunited, the sick to be healed, and so much more. We respectfully ask that you do not bring any signs - this is not a protest or demonstration. Parking Get familiar parking opportunities around the location you have selected to attend. Please comply with posted city and/or business signs and directions. Social Distancing Guidelines We will be lining up on streets or sidewalks, 6 feet apart. If you are in a park location, please spread throughout the park. We ask that you abide by your local and state regulations related to gathering and COVID restrictions. NEXT SUNDAY JUNE 21st WE WILL HAVE OUR RE-OPENING SERVICE. 10:30 am and 6:00 pm services. Tomorrow we are having a regular service online. We have also invited several ministry leaders to join us in the sanctuary for us to practice our re-opening plans and guidelines. We are so excited to get back together. Please read through the re-opening guidelines before you come to be reminded of our guidelines. If you are joining us in the morning see you then... If not, I hope to see you on the 21st. Good Morning New Life Church, I wanted to give you a quick update on our remodel happening in the sanctuary. I have attached a few pictures for you to see. Feel free to stop by the church and take a look. Thank you for your giving during this season. Both to your Tithes as well as to our building project. I know there are a few who want to give to get our chairs, carpet, etc... You can still do that. Every bit helps.... I also wanted to thank you for faithfully watching our services online each week, attending online classes and Life Groups, and More. You have done such a wonderful job living out that the church in far more than a building. We are a people!! Thank you to Steve and Andrew Ensor, Ken and Kris Bolton, Tiffany Hazel, Chuck Casto, Bryan Schuler, and Mike Leih for your hard work yesterday and today. We have temporarily relocated the pews to allow us to get the carpet out. (FYI, those pews are heavy. Ha) Our plan is to find a home for our pews. We currently have a couple of churches looking into them. It will be great to see them go to a place where they will continue to be a part of building the Kingdom of God. We'll keep you informed. Speaking of keeping you informed.... Be watching this week for these updates.... 1. I will be sharing with you more details on actual costs and what we have raised. I hope you are encouraged by how our church is living toward Building the Kingdom. 2. Be watching for more pictures of our sanctuary progress. We are taking the carpet and pews out this week and putting the new carpet in next week. That, of course, means we will not be reopening until June 14th or June 21st. We will be making a final decision on that soon. 3. We took a short clip from Sunday's service where I talked about a healthy, Biblical response to the Race Issues facing our country. I will be posting that on Facebook later today. I hope this will be a great reminder of how the church can actively respond in these days. 4. We also will post on Facebook Sunday's message (sermon only) by tomorrow. I hope you are able to take a few minutes to watch and be reminded of how we are not to be people who are on the road to "Survival" but be people who are on the road to "Revival." From Fear to Faith. Good evening New Life Church. I look forward to being with you tomorrow morning online. I want to encourage you to invite a family or friend to our online service. Tomorrow we start a new sermon series titled "Two Roads." I am doing another 3-Sunday 5 sermon series. Each one will explore the fact that in so many times in our life we find ourselves at a point of choice. Tomorrow we will start with "Infection or Immunity." ... I also am excited to talk to you about how we are starting to make plans to meet again. It will still be a few weeks away, but we are not sitting back, we are looking ahead.
