The County Youth Bridges Program(CYPB) allows youth to work in a County facility of their choice for 100 hours. Youth must also complete mandatory 20 hours Pre-...Employment Training before being assigned to their facility. All youth are required to complete a Live Scan for this program that the department is responsible for requesting and scheduling for the youth. Once they complete their hours, youth will receive a certificate of completion in which they are encouraged to apply for the Student Worker I positions with the County. That position is a one year position hired directly with LA County that usually results in permanent employment.
