El Dorado Chamber of Commerce Diplomats

The holiday season kicked off today with the Chamber Diplomats' annual Christmas Holiday Luncheon. We enjoyed a wonderful meal and special treatment at Durango's Mexican Restaurant in Placerville. Thanks to all who came, and especially to Cathy Zuber for organizing and promoting this really fun event. No agenda, no business, just Diplomats enjoying each other. Lots of laughter and smiles. We had another very successful Gift Basket Auction on Wednesday. Haven't seen the final numbers, but the auction raised north of $3,500 for the El Dorado County Office of Education to enable them to take a full Christmas dinner to up to 100 families in their Head Start program. Many thanks to all the Diplomats who helped out - Linda, Trisha, Trish, Vee, Nancy, and of course our Member Services Director Cathy in her first Auction. Your amazing help made the whole event flow very smoothly. Even getting a late start, we auctioned 31 baskets in only 45 minutes! You are awesome worker bees who make El Dorado County such a great place to live and work! Christmas blessings to you all! G
