EAST COUNTY TRAFFIC ALERT: The 5th annual St. Patrick's Day Half Marathon, 5K, 1 Mile Fun Run and Fitness Challenge is this Sunday morning. www.stpatricksdayhalf.com Downtown El Cajon will be significantly impacted between 5:00am and 12:00pm. Main St between Magnolia and Second St (Jamacha) will be completely closed from 6:30am to 10:30 am. Jamacha, from Main St to Cuyamaca College drive West will be affected but not closed. Expect delays in your travels between 6:30am and 10...:30am. Vehicles will be allowed to cross the course with the assistance of one of our race volunteers. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- If you will be driving on Sunday morning between these hours, please be alert for runners and traffic closures. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- The event is a product of the San Diego Chamber of Commerce East County Leadership Program and supports local social service organizations such as St Madeleine Sophie's Center and Partnerships with Industry. $10 is also donated back to the PTA for every Cajon Valley School District child or family member who participates as well as all of the local high school athletic foundations (Granite, El Cajon, Christian, El Cap, Santana, West Hills, Grossmont Etc.) All people have to do to raise money for their school is click the school they are there to support and then come out and have fun. The Run EC Foundation is made up of local business people who just want to give back to the East County.
