If you're a seeker of light, not muddy darkness and self-denial, I am calling you in. I really have a desire in my heart to have a group of people who support each other in light and love, speaking about the hard truths. A sacred space where we can talk about the problems of the world and in our personal being so we can be and reach the highest most benevolent version of ourselves. I want to call in those who are ready to make changes in their lives, in themselves and who actually care about how their actions affect others. Let's work together to be better. Let's converse. Authenticity. That word has been popping up in my mind a lot lately so I decided to look up the definition. Authenticity - the quality of being authentic. Authentic means genuine. Genuine = truly what something is said to be. Not a mask. Not a facade. Not illusion. TRULY WHAT SOMETHING IS SAID TO BE. It’s sincere. Sincere means it’s free from pretense and deceit. Pretense is an attempt to make something that is NOT the case APPEAR true. In other words, it’s lies. Authenticit...y is TRUTH. It’s not pretending. It’s not being something that you’re not. It’s not, trying to pull the wool over someone’s eyes to protect yourself because you can’t handle the truth (or you tell yourself that they can’t handle that truth). It’s being real. It’s facing hard truths. It’s being comfortable with the discomfort. It’s looking at yourself in the mirror and calling yourself out on the bullshit. We have been taught that being real is undesirable because we have to keep it together and leave our problems at the door. Don’t show emotion because doing so would make people accountable for their actions. We’re encouraged to lie to ourselves and lie to other. I’m fine. We’re told that others don’t want to hear our problems, yet why is that some listen when you actually do? LIES. Talking about feelings means having to look at how we affect those around us. We have a society that fuels separation and segregation. You are separate from me and that’s YOUR problem. I get it, it not easy to tell the truth, whole truth and nothing but the truth when we’re encouraged to lie. Filters. Pretending like we’re living our best life. Pretending that we don’t have societal issues. Pretending like racism is no longer an issue. Why are we taught to lie? Because then people have to be held accountable. Speak your truth. Don’t be afraid to speak up, but do it in a way that is kind and that you’ll be proud of. Shine on I’m calling in my tribe of Truth Seekers. #shineyourlight #letsbereal

I know we are dealing with stressful times so I felt the need to connect with Spirit and share a message for those who need to hear it. First and foremost, remember that as powerless as we may feel right now, we have the power to influence how we respond to our environment. You are not meant to take this world personally. If you are feeling uncertain, anxious, or fearful, remember to breathe . You may not be able to control your environment but you can control your response.... Eat foods that nourish you and feed yourself with words that uplift you. Stop dimming your light and truly let yourself be seen so that you can call in those who are like you. You are NOT a victim of the world, things are shifting so we can meet with those who truly match our vibe. Don’t you want to have people who truly support you?? If you already have found your soul tribe, let them support you at this time and make the effort to connect (digitally of course) #stayhome. Speak with confidence because the world needs your light. Now is not the time to engage in an argument, no matter how unpredictable others are being. Do NOT match their intensity with your own. If you are dealing with an overly assertive person, step back and disengage Disengaging does not mean you allow others to bully you. Everything has a time and a place. Maintain your integrity. Do not let anyone push you into anything you are uncomfortable with. You have solid footing if you stand your ground with GRACE; those who disagree will begin to find their own gentleness and willingness to compromise. Watch the words that you speak to yourself. What you say to yourself reflects how you will respond to others. At times like these, it’s hard to focus on the positives, but if you’re reading this you are blessed with the vision to see and the capacity to read. Listen for the words that uplift you and remind you of the JOY in your life; repeat them to yourself and nurture your soul. Such a powerful image, I just had to share it (it’s not mine, just saw it online). I feel like this is a great visual representation of what intimidate relationships and fighting can be like. Look at those little children just trying to reach out for each other while the adults turn away, buried under whatever superficial reaction of disconnect they are displaying. Frustration. Sadness. Anger. What lies underneath is a cry for help, a need for connection, an opportunity to... reach out. We turn away because we feel ashamed or maybe we don’t feel safe enough to share, but look at this image and tell me you can’t relate? I believe you can. When you want so desperately to connect but your instincts tell you just turn away, if you don’t think about it you won’t feel it it doesn’t work like that. Underneath it all, little you and little them wants to be seen and heard. Why are we turning away from that little child reaching out to be understood, especially when we love each other? Inside of each of us, no matter how grown we are, lies the foundation of what makes us who we are. We were children before we became adults, that child is the foundation of who we are. We have to learn to let that little child be seen and heard and hopefully, with time, be healed. When we can look at those we love, with the eyes of compassion, with grace and forgiveness, kindness and a safe space to share how we REALLY feel so that we can understand each other, then maybe we can finally face each other and be brave enough to see what needs to be seen.
