California’s Future of Work Commission Issues Final Report Calling for New Social Compact | Established prior to the COVID crisis, the Future of Work Commission was tasked with confronting the question - What does the Golden State plan to do so that workers of every race, ethnicity, geography, and gender have what they need to support themselves and their families, and thrive now and in the future? California’s Future of Work Commission, a diverse cross-section of prominent l...eaders from technology, labor, business, education, and other sectors, presented its final to Governor Gavin Newsom. The inequities were further exposed by the COVID-19 crisis and ensuing recession, the Commission called for the creation of a new Social Compact for work and workers in California by 2030. Our Interns | My name is Shayna Akiba and I’m seventeen years old. I graduated high school in my junior year and am currently a sophomore attending Palomar College (and in my last semester!). My favorite classes I have taken are Managerial Accounting and Business Law. I absolutely love running and average around seventy-five miles a week.
