Meet the Kittens at the shelter ! They are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots and have a microchip. Always a great idea to adopt two together- continues their socialization, they keep each other busy when you are at work and they will be lifetime buddies. Adoption/Visiting hours 9:30-4:30 Monday thru Saturday at 6435 Capitol ave, Diamond Springs. Currently, appointment is needed to meet our animals. Call the shelter at (530)621-5795. Precautions in place to follow social distancing guidelines.

2021 Dogs of Main Street Calendar now available! This wonderful calendar helps support animals in need in El Dorado County. The Dogs of Main Street calendar is generously published by local Placerville merchant, The Bookery, with proceeds from the sales of the calendars donated to the El Dorado County Animal Services shelter for needs of the animals. ... The calendar features adorable photos of dogs owned by downtown Placerville merchants, as well as a page with shelter success stories of four awesome dogs adopted from the EDC Animal Shelter in Diamond Springs This is the 10th year the calendar has been published. Proceeds from last year’s 2020 Dogs on Main Street calendar sales helped sponsor adoptions for several dogs and cats at the animal shelter, training sessions for hard to place dogs, specialized food, medical care, and even a halo to help a blind dog at the shelter get around. The calendars are available for purchase at The Bookery located on Main Street in Placerville and cost $15 each. Many, many thanks to The Bookery for this creative and special way to support local shelter animals in El Dorado County!
