Now it will be my job to make sure the Petition and signatures get to the appropriate individuals. Last chance to get a comment letter into the California State Water Board before next week's meeting! Interested persons must submit written comments by 12:00 p.m. on April 1, 2021. We still know it's possible to restore the Salton Sea, keep the dust down and provide water resources for future generations by adding water from the ocean. Imagine how beautiful green and blue this place will be! We can finish the Coyote Canal. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has released a Special Public Notice to begin an Environmental Assessment for the Salton Sea Management P...rogram Phase I: 10-Year Plan permitting process. All interested parties are invited to provide comments by April 21, 2021. The SSMP 10-year Plan identifies habitat restoration and dust suppression projects around the Sea to revitalize the environment and protect public health.
