A big misconception about zero waste living is that it cost more. Here’s a prime example of that not being true! Using bamboo charcoal sticks for water filtration can help your wallet and help the Earth. Skip the icky plastic water bottle and filter your tap water with activated bamboo charcoal sticks instead. They absorb tapwater impurities as they attach to the porous surface area within the bamboo charcoal. Tests indicate that bamboo charcoal removes chlorine, chloride, ph...osphorus, ammonia, nitrogen and more toxins like pesticides. Bamboo charcoal does not absorb pathogens so this is not a recommended filtration for creek water when hiking. Not only does it filter your water but activated bamboo charcoal contains many mineral components such as potassium and calcium. We offer the bamboo charcoal sticks in store and online, visit our website to learn more! #bamboocharcoal #activatedcharcoal #zerowaste #sustainability #ecofriendly #waterfilter #allnatural #reusable #usethisnotthat #plasticpollution #zerowasteliving See more

One year ago today, we opened OC’s first zero waste shop & refill station in this petite airstream trailer at The Lab AntiMall Nervous about this new business adventure but incredibly excited to provide for our community, we took our shot hoping that it would translate and by golly it absolutely did! In a short span of time we learned that this space couldn’t supply the demand for all of our amazing customers and we had to move onwards and upwards. Fast forward one year, we have a thriving store that can handle all of the elements and another one on the way! Thank you all for riding this wave with us, here’s to a cleaner Earth! #tbt #sustainableliving #zerowasteexperiences #ecofriendly #smallbusiness #orangecounty #orangecountysmallbusiness #sustainablefuture #zerowastestore #refillnotlandfill #nontoxicliving #ecofriendlylivng

Lets talk beeswax wraps! Here’s some food for thought: The United States is a global leader in food waste! Yikes! One really great waste free way to keep food fresh for longer and to store leftovers is with beeswax wraps. Beeswax wraps are a natural, plastic free alternative to traditional disposable cling wrap products. They not only help your food stay fresh for longer but are also biodegradable, reduces waste and protects wildlife. They have anti-microbial properties to them and can be washed and rescued for us to a year. So what are you waiting for? Try switching to beeswax wraps. You can DIY or buy ready made ones with us! We even offer vegan food wraps in store if beeswax ain’t your thing!

Lets talk beeswax wraps! Here’s some food for thought: The United States is a global leader in Food waste with Americans discarding nearly 40,000,000 tons of food every year that’s 80,000,000,000 pounds of food and equates to more than $161 billion of waste per person and 30 to 40% of the US food supply. One really great waste free way to keep food fresh for longer and to store leftovers is with beeswax wraps. They are natural waste- free plastic free alternative to trad...itional disposable cling wrap products. Beeswax wraps not only help your food stay fresh for longer but it’s also biodegradable, reduces waste and protect wildlife and has anti-microbial properties to them. they are also super fun and easy to make at home! So what are you waiting for? Try switching to beeswax wraps .
