Discovery Bay, CA There is a time when we have to replace old technology no matter how good it was 16-17 years ago. The objectives were quite simple:... -Replace 4 old plasma screens with new 4K displays and utilize as much of available space as possible. Sounds simple. Well..... It only sounded so simple. It took a good 10 hours just to take them off the walls; they were installed onto stationary wall mounts inside the niches with all the cabinetry, stucco, and stone work being done AFTERWARDS - thus effectively sealing them inside with almost no room to move. Below is an excerpt from review back in 2002 for one of the plasma's we dealt with: "Measuring 36.125 by 59.5 by 5 inches, the panel itself is quite imposing, but it weighs a reasonable 165 pounds when fully assembled with the table stand or 140 pounds without the stand, which is about half the weight of a comparable rear-projection TV. With a viewable area that's 53 inches wide by 30 inches high, this baby gives a big picture. Its incredibly slim 5-inch depth makes it quite easy to integrate into a living room or family room, especially if you mount it on the wall." So.... Different approaches were taken: cabinets disassembled, crowbars used, in some cases FEIN tool with blades was pulled out and fun began, but by the end of the second day the dust was cleaned and new TV's up and running. P.S. We still could feel the weight of old technology even 3 days later.

Los Altos Hills, CA The objectives for these shades project were very challenging: - Must blend with an existing house design;... - Fascias must match the windows trim color; - Must not open the walls to run the cables, if running outside wires can not be noticeable; - No to battery operated shades; - Mobile application to control the shades inside the house and from anywhere in the world; Here is the work done by ECLAT. - All wires are ran inside the walls where possible with wires not visible at all; - Specialty wires were designed and manufactured to be installed in places where in-wall wiring was not possible to do - one can stand in front of the window trim and may never realize there is an actual wire (no painting at all); - We were able to match 10 years old windows trim paint with current one and apply it for fascia powder coating, yes - fascias are powder coated. The result is nearly perfect match! - Shades are built by CRESTRON and run on 24VDC power supplies; - Mobile devices are using CRESTRON proprietary PYNG control application allowing 2-way network communication from anywhere in the world.

Starting with an empty space available for the showroom and Grand Opening 3 months later how many men hours this particular project may take? Watching the guys from different companies performing on the daily basis, working over the clock, we have to say - A LOT! But, hey, based on the company review we did build one of the best showrooms out of 40 in whole United States! Our task was to deliver audio, video, network distribution to various locations and simple system operation. 6 zones of CRESTRON audio distribution throughout the showroom floor, office and a conference room; 3 TV's in various places with DIRECTV and computer connectivity - all controlled via single touch panel from Conference room and so intuitive it took less than 5 minutes to teach all showroom crew!!!!
