Today, Tuesday October 18, 2016 has to be one of the saddest days in the history of our great town of Palm Springs as those of us who reside here, work here, own businesses here or simply visit here pay our respects to the two fallen members of the Palm Springs Police Department who were shot and killed this past Saturday in the line of duty while responding to what was a simple family disturbance call. We at Echo Furnishings wish to take this opportunity to offer our deepes...t condolences to the families of Officers Jose Gilbert Vega and Lesley Zerebny who 's dedication to the safety and protection of the people of Palm Springs ended with then paying the ultimate sacrifice in their quest to serve us with their unconditional dedication to the jobs they loved. Today hundreds of law enforcement officials from across the nation as well as the Governor of the State of California along with the entire Palm Springs law enforcement community will no doubt be joined by countless thousands of of individuals who live in Palm Springs and the surrounding communities paying their respects to these two fallen heroes as they attend the joint memorial services for Officers Vega and Zerebny inside the Palm Springs Convention center and all along the routes of the funeral processions leading to the convention center. Every one of us who live , work and house our businesses here in the city know that it is through the dedicated efforts of every member of the Palm Springs Police Department that we can go about our daily lives with a feeling of confidence that hero's such as Officers Vega and Zerebny are there to serve and protect.To the families and close friends of Officers Vega and Zerebny and to Chief Bryan Reyes and every member of the Palm Springs Police Department we offer our condolences, prayers to you at this most difficult time.
