San Diego has some of the most wonderful golf courses in the USA. Three courses operated by the city are Torrey Pines in La Jolla, Mission Bay near Grand Avenue in Pacific Beach and Balboa Park close to downtown. If you want to schedule a tee time, or just practice your swing, download the San Diego City Golf app from google play to make an appointment.

Looking for a weekend drive? Try heading east to Borrego Springs! Walk some local trails and check out amazing metal sculptures. It is best to go early morning or late evening to avoid the summer heat! The stars are so beautiful in the desert.

La Jolla Cove has an easy hike called the Coast Walk Trail. Enter the walk by the Sunny Jim Cave store. Sunny Jim Cave store is a wonderful shop with stairs leading down to the cave.

The beaches are still open in San Diego. If you want to learn how to surf or just rent a board for your own enjoyment, you can visit San Diego Surf School in Pacific Beach. They will be happy to assist EC San Diego students.

Everybody knows about our amazing beaches. However, did you know that San Diego's lakes are also reopened for fishing, boating and recreation? San Diego lakes are very popular destinations in California. Just be sure to purchase a fishing license if you want to catch your dinner! The reopening schedule is as follows: El Capitan Reservoir Saturday, June 6 Upper Otay Reservoir Saturday, June 6 San Vicente Reservoir Saturday, June 13... Lake Hodges Reservoir Wednesday, July 1 Sutherland Reservoir Friday, July 3 Barret Reservoir Wednesday, July 8 Those reservoirs join three others that were previously reopened in mid-May: Miramar, Murray and Lower Otay. Looking for a wonderful way to spend the day? Cabrillo National Monument Park is open outside from 9-5. Birch Aquarium is a relaxing way to spend the day in La Jolla. The aquarium will open on the 4th of July. In the meantime, you can check out their kelp cam for some relaxation between classes. https://aquarium.ucsd.edu/kelpcam

The Japanese Friendship Garden will be open to the public this weekend. A beautiful way to enjoy a relaxing day while at Balboa Park.

The animals want to see you again! San Diego Zoo opens on June 20th.

On Friday the 12th, Balboa Park will reopen. Parking lots at the beaches and Mission Bay are also open today. Get out and enjoy the sunshine San Diego!
