What is it Wednesday answer: African Fat Tail Gecko! Congratulations to Martha Simms for guessing this one exactly right! Quite possibly the cutest baby gecko available in store currently, this little guy is Zulu morph. Zulu refers to the spearhead-shaped pattern located on the back which points towards the tail and remains into adulthood. For more pictures and info, check him out on our website: https://eastbayvivarium.com//zulu-african-fat-tailed-gecko... Did you know that African Fat Tailed Geckos are crepuscular? Crepuscular means most active at dawn and dusk. This makes sense because these two times of the day would have ideal temperatures (not too extreme in either direction) and allow the gecko to hunt for insects more safely in lower light conditions. Thanks for participating and be sure to join us next week! ~Miero Spider Rider

Attention friends and guests: We regret to inform you that we will be experiencing a shortage on live feeder insects for the coming weeks. One cause of this shortage is the recent tremendous winter storms. They have effectively shut down the Midwest which is where many of our live insect suppliers are located. We will be ordering as much as we can but be aware that we will run out of stock without predictability. ... Please bear with us during this shortage. Here's hoping it will end sooner rather than later!
