September is National Preparedness Month. The City of Berkeley's Berkeley Ready Program encourages everyone to take the time to learn and take action on how to prepare for emergencies. From Berkeley Ready: The past few days have revealed to us that in addition to a pandemic, Berkeley is also susceptible to other types of emergencies, whether this is fire, smoke, or possibly an earthquake. With this in mind, the Berkeley Ready team encourages everyone to take this time to le...arn and take action on how to prepare for emergencies. What should I expect during National Preparedness Month? Berkeley residents, businesses, and community members can prepare for an earthquake and other disasters, by accessing the various services, classes, and resources available through the Berkeley Ready Program managed by Berkeley’s Public Health Emergency Preparedness Unit and Office of Emergency Services. This coming September, community members can attend two upcoming virtual presentations led by the Berkeley Ready team.
