Calling all East Sac and Old Sac Little League alumni! The spring 2021 season will be the 70th year of Little League in East Sacramento. We are looking for pictures and stories of your time playing for East Sac or Old Sac Little League over the last 70 years. Our Fall Ball Conditioning Program starts this Saturday at the fields at Tahoe Tallac Park. Program open to entering AAA and Minors softball players also - eight-year olds who will turn 9 in the coming year. $20. Two hours sessions beginning Saturday morning. Sharing a story about Jaylen Betschart, the teen brutally shot this past Saturday in Sacramento, who played his entire Little League career with ESLL, and was a member of the Sac High baseball and football teams. So many fond memories of such an amazing young man. Our sympathies to his family and friends.

Our deepest sympathies to the family of Jaylen Betschart, lost over the weekend to a fatal shooting. Jaylen played with East Sac Little League, and was a member of the Sacramento High baseball team. Rest in peace Jaylen.

Registration opens October 5th, 2020 - tomorrow!, for our Fall Baseball & Softball Conditioning Programs! The program will be open to upper division players in both baseball and softball - AAA and Majors baseball and Minors and Majors softball, including all spring 2020 graduating 12-year olds. Program begins Saturday, October 10th/Sunday, October 11th - depending on assigned co-hort, and runs for four weekends finishing the weekend of October 31/November 1st. Cost is $20.... No refunds. KCRA featured the efforts of LPPLL, ESLL and Pocket Little League in a story about return to youth play efforts we have been making in the past few weeks. We hope our active approach with a safe return to play will get our kids on the field soon! Monday Update: We're still hard at work on presenting an official baseball and softball season to our community despite the cancellation of many of the schools. Please hold tight as we wait this out a little longer. We're looking at May, June, July and August options, while concurrently talking with our partners in the district. Kids have their uniforms and teams, coaches have their equipment, practices were held, team parents are in motion, the Snack Shack is stocked and t...he grass is mowed. All we need to do to get it going again is flip a switch. It's that easy. And of course, after guidelines for shelter-in-place are relaxed. Safety remains our highest priority. Stay well and don't lose hope. We're not giving up!

We're on hold until May 1st per the calendar of Sac City Unified School District. PLEASE NOTE: We are NOT cancelling the season as of yet, and we sincerely intend to reschedule and re-ignite the game calendar as soon as school resumes. We're discussing options and will keep you updated as time passes. In the meantime, throw the ball with your player, hit off the tee and keep your spirits up! We're not giving up!
