Good afternoon Saints, Due to unforeseen circumstances, we missed posting the reading program for last week (week 42). We apologize for this, up to this point, we hade gone 41 consecutive weeks without missing. We’d like to encourage you to participate in our ‘Read the scriptures in a year’ campaign that started at the first of this year. Please remember, that on average it will only take about 20 minutes per day and it doesn’t matter where you begin. What’s most important ...is your participation. You may elect to start at the beginning and catch up, or just pick up where we’re at and go back as time permits. In light of this, we’re posting last week’s reading plan (week 42) along with the current reading plan (week 43), which began yesterday. Good afternoon Saints, We’d like to encourage you to participate in our ‘Read the scriptures in a year’ campaign that started at the first of this year. Due to the manner in-which the 2020 calendar fell, we start each week on a Wednesday.... We’ll be beginning week 41 (10-07-20) and whether you receive a notice or not, we’ll post the schedule for the current week each Wednesday. Please remember, that on average it will only take about 20 minutes per day and it doesn’t matter where you begin. What’s most important is your participation. You may elect to start at the beginning and catch up, or just pick up where we’re at and go back as time permits. Here’s week 41’s reading plan: Wednesday (Epistles) Hebrews (chapters 8-10) Thursday (Torah) - Numbers (chapters 33-36) Friday (History) 2 Chronicles (chapters 16-20) Saturday (Psalms) - Psalms (division 119) Sunday (Poetry) Proverbs (chapter 29-30) Monday (Prophecy) Micah (all) Tuesday (the Gospels) - Acts (chapters 5-6) May the Lord be with you in the reading and study of His word!
Good afternoon saints, It’s with great pleasure that we cheerfully join the Angels in rejoicing upon the news that we now have a new sister in Christ (Luke 15:10). Sister Latrice was recently baptized after being introduced to the deeper truths of Christ by her daughter (Sis Debre) who meets with us here at the East Palomar congregation.... Upon hearing of Latrice’s interest, we then sought a conference call and a congregation in the Portland area and with the assistance of Bro Tommy Brooks (Highland Heights Church of Christ, Houston Texas), the Lord worked it in such a way that there was a congregation very near her home. In first giving thanks to God, we’d also like to express our appreciation and gratitude to our local facilitators in Portland Ore., Bro Art Hitt of the Eastside Church of Christ and also the saints at the Metro Church or Christ where the baptism occurred. We also like to give all praise and glory to God with respect to the often-unseen value of sharing the gospel online and also for the coordinated approach amongst all involved with everyone playing a pivotal role in making this happen. Let us all be encouraged and support our new sister in Christ (Latrice). For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD (Isa. 55:8). 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it (Isa. 55:11). God Bless you all!!!!
