This is what a 100-boot reorder looks like.... (94) pairs made it! It took almost a month for them to get here, but with this weather it feels like it was just in time! Big thanks to Kendra from RIDE SNOWBOARDS for making this happen for us, and for our customers! If you were waiting for our boot restock order it's finally here.

5 years ago... KCRA left a lot of the story out to make the time-slot work. Mr. Nate Lint, didn't know our first shop was in Oakhurst California, just 15 minuets from Bass Lake. This was the reason I believed him. The person who dropped it off was a total tweaker (KCRA cut that out) and the guy never came back.... Nate is now a dear friend and I could not be happier that the board made it back to him. Being homeless at the time, and handing back a $6500 heirloom snowboard was both easy and hard, but it was the right thing to do. https://www.youtube.com/watch

As we wind 2020 down, we wanted to take time to reflect upon the year we experienced. For us it began with much uncertainty as my father discovered his cancer had spread throughout his body. Then a virus from a far away place filled the headlines. Still, we felt defined by our personal struggles. Then the lock-down came and things would never be the same. As people fled the cities and ran for the mountains and we experienced a renewed appreciation of the outdoors and the huma...n need for contact with nature. Because it is needed now, like never before.... and we were there to help. Many businesses have not been as lucky as we have been. While cigarettes and booze are considered "essential" hair styling and indoor dining are reserved for only the highest level of politicians in California. Having heard the struggles of local businesses, and In the spirit of Christmas, a young man came to us with a gift. A gift that will; forever fill my heart with joy, adoration and humility. This young man having heard the stories of struggling businesses in his own community came to us with a donation; his very own Christmas gift money. We were floored, and as we fought back tears we explained that everything was fine here, while his gift was MOST appreciated, the best way to help a business like ours was was to simply "go shopping" and so he did. True capitalism is based on the exchange of goods and services for an agreed upon amount. And that's what this exchange was in it's most pure form. I feel beholden to tell my community about this young man. He has moved my heart in a way that no other transaction ever has. An education in economics in exchange for and education of the soul.... and I am forever moved. I have hugged, high-five and shook hands after a sale. But I can not ever remember a time when I reached for a Kleenex. Thank you Evan! See more
