The theme for Summer Arts Camp this week is Globetrotters! Our campers were inspired by art and culture from around the world and made their own papier-mâché masks and travel booklets. They explored patterns from across the globe, made their own stamps, and sewed travel pouches!

In DIY Lab this week at Summer Arts Camp, we are making automated drawing robots, silly sea creatures out of salt dough, and our own frescos made from plaster of Paris! Our campers are master makers!

We’re having so much fun in our first week of Summer Arts Camp! Our theme this week is California Dreaming. Campers made custom dyed bandanas using native plants as stencils, built coil pots and made their own spring rolls with fresh vegetables they picked from the garden! Congratulations to our esteemed board member, artist Linda Lyke, on the opening of her solo show, Field Notes, at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center.
