Our (nearly) last fruit... Devil’s Gulch Chardonnay going into the press. 3.5 tons harvested, so look for about 200 cases in a year or so. Tomorrow will be our final day, with Devil's Gewurz!

We are excited to be currently featuring local artist Nancy Ray Ricciardi in our tasting room. Nancy has been painting and teaching art in Sonoma County for over 30 years. She has also been a member of the Sonoma County ARTrails Open Studio tour since 1999. Two of her pieces, "Waterweeds II" and "Birds on a Wire (Standing in the Flood)", were recently selected to be shown in The de Young Open, an exhibition featuring Bay Area artists that will open shortly after the de Young Museum reopens. https://nancyrayricciardi.com/

Dan’s checking the sugar in Chardonnay grapes that just came in. While there are now digital refractometers that give an automatic read-out, Dan is wed to his old-school analog refractometer. When you look through the window on it, you see a thermometer-like scale, with a darkened bar indicating where the juice registers on the sugar (Brix) scale.
