Dusty's Riders 13.11.2020

Admin Message: As many of you know, we had to say goodbye to our wonderful friend and namesake, Dusty, on July 13, 2018. He was approximately 35 years old. Dusty was an amazing animal who touched the lives of so many. He has left behind a legacy of helping thousands of children that few animals, or people for that matter, even come close to. We miss his antics, his stubbornness, and the gentle and kindhearted way he interacted with children. Thank you, thank you, to the many... volunteers and kids who knew him. You helped make him special, just as he helped you. Our other horse, Luke, is fine and well. He has been rehomed to one of our amazing volunteers and is enjoying his new life as the love of a teenage girl. Dusty’s Riders is on permanent hiatus as of this writing, but the page and pictures will remain for now. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love.

What a great group of teens today from the West San Gabriel Valley and La Puente Boys & Girls Clubs!!! Angel (15) and Pragya (13) were back for some more time with Dusty and Luke, and they brought Alexa (12), Britney (13), Isabella (12), Kaitlynn (17), Marie (13), Sabina (13), Sofia (16) and Terie (16) for their first visit. They had a great time with Dusty and Lukefull of confidence. So, we were a bit surprised that things changed for a few once they got on horses. One was shaking so much, we wondered if she was alright, but after petting her horse and taking some deep breaths, Alexa was ready to hit the trail. It was a perfect day for a trail ride, too. We got lots of thank you, tooalways nice to hear. Major thanks to Michelle, Shannon, Lori and Chrissy for helping outagain!!! Always love to have you along for the ride!
