"As I conducted the interviews and learned about the journeys of these amazing women, I was moved. I felt nurtured and uplifted by their stories. Stories of overcoming. Stories of leadership in action. I learned what motivated them in their work. I learned about the adversities they’ve faced." - Manal J. Aboelata of Prevention Institute interviewed women leaders in Los Angeles as part of her #StantonFellowship to know what they thought could be done to improve neighborhood conditions in LA's low-income communities and communities of color.
