This photo depicts life right now for many us. In the salon world, we continue waiting for permission to open our doors to our clients and welcome them in. At Dulce Vida, as well as so many other salons, we are sanitary and safe! The first closure, we were shutdown for 10 weeks. Thankfully we were able to reopen, but for a short 6 weeks. It has now been over 6 weeks since we were closed to operate inside. Each week, we wait for good news to resume our livelihood. We miss ou...r passion and our clients! Dulce Vida Salon will NOT be cutting hair outside. The whole idea of taking a salon outside is silly. Only limited places can accommodate haircuts outside. I know that DV salon cannot because it’s hot and windy! 1. Not a good haircut will result from these conditions. 2. Hair flying around in surrounding businesses is not ok: ie a dance studio and restaurants, um no! Not to mention that the majority of our services are color (with a cut). Even though we were safe, some plac...es were not. It’s hard for it to not feel personal because it is personal. Unfortunately this will just force hair stylists to make house calls. Doesn’t it make sense to keep salons open because we can control a sanitary environment?
