Tried a DUI prescription medication case last week. Accident with a parked car while on the map function of a cell phone. She also had a migraine medication (barbiturate) in her blood. Ended with a verdict of NOT GUILTY after 15-20 minutes of deliberation. Jury saw right through the DA’s overreaching case and agreed the accident was simply distracted driving.
