Heart tugger. Memory flogger. It’s our anniversary weekend and 18 years ago, Duarte’s was where we had our rehearsal dinner before the big event at Swedenborgia...n church. We brought families and close friends together: you’re either Norwegian or Scottish and everyone wears plaid. Such a big deal we could come back here. Even snagged a half-baked loaf at Arcangeli. Some of you will know that the ultimate cure is the famous half-and-half artichoke/chili soup. Incredible to look back at all that’s evolved in those years. Really starting to like being retired. Rode my Harley on 35 to 17 through Santa Cruz back on the Coast Hiway had to stop at Duarte’s for a bowl of Half and Half finished it with ollalaberry pie alamode !
