We are also continuing to distribute technology to our returnin...g students (1st - 6th) who have not picked up their devices. We are offering two distributed times will be from 9:00pm - 11:00am and 2:00pm - 4:00pm. Locations vary. Please see attached flyer. Distributions will take place at the following: Tuesdays - Boronda Meadows Wednesdays - El Gabilan Thursdays - Sherwood Fridays - Monterey Park See flyer for specific schools being served on each day of the week. SCESD will continue to provide a free-bagged lunch and breakfast (for the following day) to any child(ren), ages 1-18 years old. This includes any siblings, re...gardless, of which school/district they attend. Children must be present. Meals will be served Monday - Friday, 11:00am - 1:00pm in an easy drive-thru or walk-up location. Food distribution begins TOMORROW at three sites: Sherwood, Kammann and Mission Park Elementary Schools. Starting WEDNESDAY, we will expand to these additional locations: Boronda Meadows, Natividad, Lincoln, El Gabilan, Los Padres, Roosevelt and Buena Vista Middle School. Parents interested in the dual immersion programs with Salinas City Elementary School District are invited to attend one informational meeting to request the program for their child. Lincoln, Los Padres, DIAS and Boronda Meadows all offer this program at their school. You can request a one-time intra-district transfer if you live within SCESD boundaries or an annual inter-district transfer with your home school if you live outside of the district (don’t forget this needs to be done every year). Check with your school district to find out how.

Our 4th annual celebration was a huge success! Thank you to all of the parents, PTO and high school volunteers for coming together to support the festivities. A huge thanks to Principal Mary and all of the teachers and district staff who decorated, cooked pozole and tamales, taught dance to our students and made it such a fun event!

Are you an exceptional artist who enjoys face painting? We could use your help tonight if we get busy! Please check in with DIAS parent Christian at the face painting booth to see if you can help with Sugar Skull faces (half face only)! We're busiest from 5-5:30pm. While we do have lots of volunteers tonight, you are all welcome to stay after 7pm to help clean up!
