Hello all mental health professionals, as a member of the board of the Alameda County Psychological Association, I warmly invite you to our upcoming Summer BBQ party on June 9th from 12:30-3:30pm. It will be held at another board member's home in San Pablo, CA. You don't need to be a member to attend (although we hope you'll consider joining if you enjoy the event) and you don't need to be a psychologist - all are welcome! Please RSVP with the following link: http://www.alamedapsych.org/summer2019

When Kellie held our newborn sons against her chest, when she bounced them and rocked them until they slept, she was not simply soothing them in the moment. She was helping program their DNA, contributing to their genetic legacy. Parents, through the way they nurture, contribute to the child’s nature. Queer families create new and magical connections. It’s not only genetics that tie people together.
