EMDR therapy has been one of the most significant scientific breakthroughs in psychotherapy in the last 32 years. Here's how it works in a nutshell, phase by phase. #psychotherapy #mentalhealth #psychology #emdrtherapy #emdrcertified #traumainformed #traumahealing #traumarecovery #traumatherapist #traumasurvivor #traumainformedcare #trauma https://www.psychologytoday.com//the-eight-magical-phases-

It’s all too easy to over-eat during the pandemic and holiday season. Here’s my lightning guide to a wiser, more intentional relationship with food in this trying time. https://www.psychologytoday.com//mindfulness-and-addictive

I can’t emphasize the obvious more strongly. Children shouldn’t be separated from their parents. There’s time to comfort them and soothe their toxic stress and trauma but their parents must be found for reunification ASAP so they can heal before it’s too late. Calmness, presence of mind, and peace can feel very triggering to those with diagnosable PTSD. Your body often braces for danger, although it’s safe and the trauma is over. With time, the nervous system can learn it’s a safe and healthy state to bask in peace and calm. While I’m full in my practice, my AMAZING associates, @kateezullo and @alexandrabrown55 are standing by, both trained in EMDR, with instant and unlimited access to my expertise practicing EMDR for 7 years. #emdrtherapist #emdrcertified #traumahealing #sandiegotherapist
