Please wish Lexi Happy Birthday. She hit the big 21 today! Happy Birthday, Lexi, We love having you as part of our team and can’t wait to see what the future holds for you.
We are very happy to announce that we are reopening. We have missed seeing all of your smiling faces. We are closed Monday for Memorial day and the week of the 26th and 6/1 will be at a lower capacity. We are doing this to have time to become familiar with our new routines and follow all the guidelines. We hope to be back to our normal scheduling after a couple of weeks. An informational email has been sent outlining new procedures. If you did not receive it, please call the office and leave us your email address. Please call the office on Tuesday or after to schedule your appointment or if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you.
https://www.sacbee.com//capitol-alert/article242438351.html This is an interesting read about what dental offices are going through. Please rest assured that, as always, we are following all guidelines and infection control procedures to protect our patients and ourselves. Everyday, we are trying to obtain all the equipment needed for when we reopen. The article is a little confusing in that although it was not mandated that we close until April, on March 16th is was strongl...y suggested that we do. And while some counties have said it’s ok to resume all procedures, the California Department of Health and OSHA have not given their clearance and they supersede the county. Ventura county has not given the ok either. I do not refute anything the state has done or is doing, they know more than I. I do pray that we are through this soon and am looking forward to seeing you all again. Until then, we are here for our patients dental emergencies. Please call the office and follow the prompts to the answering service, tell them to put you in contact with me. If you leave a message, it may not be heard until we reopen in the future. When we do receive word that we can reopen, we will contact all of our patients to let them know. We miss you. See more
Hope everyone is doing well. Here’s a great quarantine tip from Jenha
Dear Patients, In light of the evolving pandemic and strong suggestions by public health officials, our office is temporarily closed from March 26, 2020 until further notice. However, If you are experiencing a dental emergency please call our office at 805-557-0100 and follow the prompts to reach our emergency line service. If you have questions or concerns, call and follow the prompts to leave a message and as soon as one of our staff are back in the office, we will return... your call. If you have an upcoming dental appointment scheduled, we will be calling you soon to reschedule the appointment. The safety and well-being of our patients and staff continues to be our primary concern. We will continue to monitor the status of COVID-19 nationally and within our community and keep you up-to-date regarding our plans to reopen for business as usual. We thank you for your patience during this difficult time and wish all of you continued health. Sincerely, Dr. Jennifer Graves-Nagel
Important dental tip
Currently taking a myofunctional therapy course by Kristie Gatto, the gal who wrote this book. So excited to be learning about this treatment modality. Such good information.
Thank you to our team and all of our patients for an amazing year. Wishing you all happiness, health, and good fortune in 2020.
Looking for a New Year’s resolution? How about caring for your teeth and gums? Many diseases are linked to periodontal disease; such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, osteoporosis, respiratory diseases and certain cancers. The mouth is the gateway to the rest of the body. Caring for it is a great start to taking care of the rest of you. Of course brush, then add flossing, proxy brushes, Waterpik, which ever adjunct you will use. Add in some fluoride, calcium phosphate, materials or foods with a high pH, follow your dentist’s recommended schedule for cleanings, and your good to go .
Merry Christmas! We hope you all have very happy holidays.
Gross I know but couldn’t pass it up We are so thankful for our patients, friends, and families. We hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
We highly recommend Carifree products. This is a very informative article from them. Often times acid reflux is silent, meaning you don’t feel any discomfort from it. Clearing your throat often or after you eat is one sign people miss. https://carifree.com//the-surprising-way-gerd-is-endanger/
