Sleeping with your head elevated at night prevents mucus from pooling in your sinuses that could lead to infection! Try stacking pillows or using a height-adjustable bed.

One advantage of Mohs surgery for skin cancer treatment is its minimal damage to surrounding non-cancerous tissue. The goal of the procedure is to remove only the malignant tissues and spare the healthy ones!

Helping our amazing patients is why we do what we do! Thank you @jasminerothofficial for sharing your story! #Repost LAST NIGHT WAS UNEXPECTED...... What started with a cute family swim session (she still loves the water you guys! ) really took a turn. Here’s what happened and a quick thank you to the specialist that helped me, @drfurze!! Since having Hazel I’ve been getting nose bleeds. My OB @nc_wh looked in my nose and thought it was just from wearing my mask. Well fast forward 5 months and I’m getting 5-30 nosebleeds PER DAY! Two weeks ago I asked my derm to take a peek cause I noticed a growth in my left nostril. She referred me to an ENT (ears, nose, throat specialist) and I finally had my in-person appt yesterday afternoon (after another tele-med appt and a covid test...welcome to 2020). Long story short, the hormones from having a baby spurred a growth in my nostril that needed to be surgically removed. I had the procedure booked for next week. Fast forward to our pool hangout, Hazel’s head barely hitting my nose, me handing her to Brett and running inside to shower and stop the bleeding...then me looking down in the shower to see the growth from my nostril sitting in a pool of blood on the shower floor. IT CAME OUT ON ITS OWN and was connected with blood vessels that were now like broken pipes. As we tried to stop the bleeding (and Brett fed the baby ) I called @drfurze’s emergency line. He immediately called me back and met us at his office where he numbed and then cauterized my nose. We were back home by 9pm! I owe a huge thank you to @drfurze and if you’re in the OC area and have allergies, chronic sinus infections, or anything that has to do with your nose or breathing - he’s your guy! Ok, now I have to keep it low key for 72 hours (you guys know I’m not good at that! ) and go clean my bathroom cause it looks like a crime scene... #reallife #postpartum #grateful See more
