As an #Armenian entrepreneur with heavy focus on turning an idea / ‘dream’ into a reality, I first started a clothing brand over a decade ago to release my art into the masses via tee shirts and apparel. ( @erraticclothing ) A tee shirt design and slogan influenced by one of my favorite rap groups, #WuTang Clan, was drawn up on a napkin. The #DonutsRuleEverythingAroundMe design needed to be released with another established Donut brand (shop) which had been around for 30+ ye...ars and by social media manifestation and soliciting to the shop owner, a collaboration came to life with ( @californiadonuts ) This relationship grew fast and created room for growth with another idea I had to start a donut delivery service years before Postmates and other Third party platforms. One large delivery to an airplane hangar for a kids bat mitzvah sparked the light bulb to create L.A.’s first Donut Truck. (2015). After some research, borrowed money, blood, sweat and tears, the truck was brought down from the Bay Area and rebuilt by one of the worlds best Food truck manufacturers coincidentally an Armenian owned and operated company ( ArmenCo) based out of #NorthHollywood, CA. During the launch of our journey (2017) on the road, we linked up with some young Armenian entrepreneurs that had started their own Hot Chicken pop up in a parking lot on Hollywood Blvd. Helping illuminate their set up on hot and cold nights, we hustled hard to produce and sell the best quality chicken tenders and donuts. This concept would be known as @daveshotchicken I eventually joined the team (to separate food truck Income and personal expenses) on the grand opening of the first brick n mortar location of DHC on January 1st 2018. Having an instrumental part as 1 of starting 5 members of DHC I have helped the brand grow tremendously. We currently have over 250 locations locked in nationwide and 30 in Canada. The truck has been going through a tough 2020 and thanks to you all, we will be ready for a strong 2021. My name is Vahe and I am here to help anyone that I can. I am here to connect people.
