To say this is a weird time would be an understatement Anyone else feeling anxious? What are you finding helpful right now? For me it’s walking with my new best friend Purell, face timing with friends and family, videos of my nieces, and focusing on what I can control: my outlook. Let’s do our best to focus on what we’re grateful for. A roof over our heads, food in the fridge, people that are only a call away, a chance to reconnect with ourselves, and (hopefully) toilet paperSending love to everyone and their families, stay healthy

I think it’s safe to say that this particular road is the one that leads to acupuncture

It is ALL connected! #Repost @organicauthority Go with your gut this week. Knowing that you have 3 entirely different processes going into your decisions making can be relieving but also could make things more complicated than they already were. Our 3 brains decide every decision we make and control our mood entirely. If your digestion and diet are poor, then your gut brain is going to function at a low level. If your heart health isn’t good, then your heart brain is going to misfire. This highlights the mind-body connection and shows why it’s important to assess whether your decisions are coming from a place of logic and reason, or just emotion. rg @haroonbandawal

Did you know that trillions of microbes live in your gut? A huge portion of our serotonin is produced in our stomach and intestines as well as other neurotransmitters. Serotonin is used to transmit messages between nerve cells but its most popular for contributing to feelings of wellbeing and happiness Your gut microbes also produce a neurotransmitter called gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), which helps control feelings of fear and anxiety Studies in laboratory mice have shown that certain probiotics can increase the production of GABA and reduce anxiety and depression-like behavior. Food really is everythingOur bodies are truly amazing and with the right nutrition and gut support (if needed) we can feel even better @ Los Angeles, California

Pain can sometimes be trickyIt can be coming from a local area but often times it actually originates away from the area where you’re feeling the pain. Sometimes even the opposite side of the body In this case of wrist and hand pain the original pain was coming from flexor and extensor muscles closer to the forearm and elbow. With pain, until you treat the root cause, everything else is just a band-aid @ Los Angeles, California

Your skin is your largest organAccording to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the face is the map which decodes the mind, body and soul What affects one organ affects the other, what affects one system ultimately affects the whole of the body. Face Mapping runs on the construct and understanding that everything on the outside is a direct reflection of what is going on insideAcne, rashes, psoriasis, hives, shingles etc are different ways our body is trying to alert us of a deeper imbalance. Take time to check your skin, not just your face but your full body for any changes that may indicate an imbalance
