Every morning before heading to the office, I'd walk into my closet, stare at my shoes and decide whether I should go with heels or comfort. Then I would determine what color goes with my day's attire. But now... i walk into the office and decide what hair cover by design and color looks best with my scrubs. Thank you to all the seamstresses that have gone above the calling and finding some of the prettiest designs to cover our tresses. With a twist of Marilyn Monroe's quote, "Give a girl the right cap (shoes) and she can conquer the world." #drlillianrlibertodds #momboss #smiles #tierrasantadentist

Following a decades-long career of caring for your smile and surprising children of all ages with visits from the Tooth Fairy, our hygienist Danice Dean is retiring. We are all going to miss our beautiful friend at the office, but we are all so excited for her retirement journey and where it will take her and her family. We love you Danice! "Congratulations! Today is your day. You're off to Great Places! You're off and away!" - Dr Seuss

During this pandemic, dental care and hygiene may not be at the forefront of your mind. If it is, A+ for you! Although the times are uncertain, there is one thing for certain oral care is still a concern. Even tho dentist offices are closed across the country, dentists are still reminding patients of basic oral hygiene to keep patients from having to make a visit at a hospital emergency room. As always, you should be brushing your teeth at least twice a day; in addition to ...flossing at least once a day. There are some other tips that can help keep your sparkly whites clean, healthy, and strong. Try to avoid hard foods that can crack teeth. Avoiding sugary and non-fiber carbohydrates can slow plaque build-up on teeth. Drinking water and staying hydrated can benefit your oral hygiene along with maintain other bodily functions. Although we miss you all and can’t wait to see our lovely patients again, we hope that this comic makes you smile. Keep up on your brushing, flossing, a healthy diet, and staying hydrated. We can’t wait to see those beautiful and healthy smiles! #lillianlibertodds #drscassanadliberto #tierrasantadentist #keepyourteethhealthy

Our highlight team member this week is our fabulous dental hygienist, Rachel. We asked her what led her to her career choice? * * "Well to have the best of both worlds - to become a clinician and an educator. I want the world to know how important oral health is to their overall health. There's always so much talk about diet and exercise, which is important too. Genetics and environmental factors always get credit too. What about what you put in your mouth? Or what you don't ...clean out? I always like to make that connection for my patients." When Rachel isn't caring for her patients you can find her gardening, sewing, cooking or staying active in the great outdoors with her husband Mike and her dog Bo. #lillianrlibertodds #drscassatandliberto #tierrasantadentists

The health and safety of our employees, their families and our patients remains our number one priority during this unprecedented health care crisis. Based on information and updates received by the CDC, American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, local and government officials our office will remain closed. ... We are unsure at this time as to when we will be able to resume our normal business hours but we are hopeful for May, 2020. Patients with scheduled appointments in April will be contacted to reschedule when the office resumes normal business hours. Please rest assure that your dental health continues to be a priority. Our doctors remain available to see Dental Emergencies along with "Teledentistry" which allows our doctors to consult with patients in a real-time encounter via video or photographs. Teledentistry allows our doctors to evaluate and triage any dental emergencies in the safety of your home prior to making any recommendations for treatment. We will continue to monitor the telephone messages however, we regret non emergency calls will not be returned until the office resumes normal business hours. Should you have any questions you can also email the office manager at [email protected]. Please allow up to 48 hours for a repsonse.
