The Buds have finished their habitats and began painting them with acrylic paint last Friday! Once the children finished the assembly of their enclosures, the children revisited their previous drawings from when we first began this project. After revisiting some of their original concepts, the Buds began adding their own unique flare and design to the exterior as a reflection of themselves. The Stems class began building with the hot glue guns and loose parts this week during art exploration. As part of the inquiries with aerodynamics happening in the classroom, the educators and I have been experimenting with many explorations revolving around this concept. Once the children finished their work, we noticed reoccurring ideas with objects that move in real time such as a boat, a machine that makes colors, and a helicopter.
