Our competitors installed a couple of very expensive doors with the wrong springs. They came back 5-6 times to adjust the doors but had absolutely no idea what they were doing. This door weighs 765lbs and is solid steel. It had springs on for 915lbs. And this is what happens. Their other door was under sprung by 110lbs. (1100 pound door ) And they destroyed a brand new LiftMaster carriage house opener in less than a year trying to manhandle these beasts. This is why we have spring specialist emblazoned on the side of our trucks. Because so few of our competitors understand springs and how they work.

We survived the heat and smoke today to install this beauty. Jeld-Wen #862 clear alder prefinished clear dark cherry My favorite part is the Thela glass that looks like old linen. It’s really pretty in person. Emtek Products Hera mortise lock and dummy flat black finish.

Today’s hard work: Simpson Door model 7405 42x96 fir door with satin etched glass painted in house. Baldwin Hardware Santa Cruz in satin nickel finish keyed to their existing key.

Interested in beefing up security on your home? Today we installed our proprietary security plate on a previously installed gorgeous JELD-WEN Windows & Doors mahogany door and side lite unit. We removed the mull cap and mortised the 1/4 thick metal plate into the jamb where it is attached by a series of 3 long screws to keep the jamb from breaking in the event of a break-in. The mull cap is then glued and nailed back on like it was never there. We also installed a defender night guard for even more security.

We’re any of our customers at the March Meet in Bakersfield last weekend? Our tech Justin was crewing on the Good News fuel altered when the reverse lever broke on the transmission. In less than an hour the crew was able to replace all 8 pistons, the clutch, and fabricate a new lever out of a LiftMaster J-arm.
