Happy 22nd anniversary to us!!! 22 years ago today Dr. Anderson founded our practice. Our goal has, and always will be, to treat and educate our patients as a person...not a number. By keeping our patient’s dental health and concerns as our top priority, we have grown into the practice we are today. As we open yet another chapter in our practice’s history, at our new and much larger location, we hope to offer even more convenience and services to our patients as we move forward. Dear Patients, With all that has been happening in 2020, we wanted to share with you some new and positive changes that are happening within our practice. First and foremost, we have heard many of you express your desire to have us move north for several years. We have listened to you, and we had an opportunity to do just that this year! As of August 1, 2020 our new office location is:... 7789 N. Ingram Avenue, Suite 101 Fresno, CA 93711 (559) 222-3300 We are grateful for all of our years at our Shields Avenue location, but it was time for us to move onward and northward! We hope you will join us at the new location with all the same staff you are used to seeing! Secondly, we wanted to let all patients of record know that we are back to seeing routine dental care at the new facility. We will be limiting our care during the month of August to our regular patients of record, but coming in September, we will once again start accepting new patients. Dear Patients, We are continuing to add more and more routine dental procedures back into our schedule. So far, we have been able to get back to doing regular exams and cleanings, seeing dental emergencies, and taking care of a majority of needed dental fillings. We will be adding in more crown and bridge work as we progress over the next several weeks. We are very grateful for all of your patience and support during this return-to-care process! Also, we wish to thank you a...ll for being patient with us over the past month while we prioritized appointments for those patients that had been rescheduled during the shelter-in-place period. Enough of those patients have had the opportunity to schedule with us, if they so desired, so we are now in the process of opening up our regular scheduling to all existing patients of record now. Just a quick reminder about scheduling, we are still seeing fewer patients per day than we have in the past (due to the CDC and ADA guidelines), so our schedule offerings are much more limited than in the past. We will do our best to get you in at your desired times and dates, but we cannot guarantee that you will actually be able to get in when you would like. In closing, we will not be accepting new patients to our practice until sometime in September. This is to allow us to have more openings available for you all to return to us in the interim. If you have any friends or family that you would like to refer to us, please let them know. We would be very happy to add them at that point. Dear patients, We wanted to let you know we are back to seeing patients for regular exams and cleanings, emergencies, and limited dental fillings now. We are still waiting for dental suppliers to have more PPE, so non-urgent fillings, crowns and bridges will be pushed out a little longer. We do appreciate your patience with this! Please know we are doing our best to give top priority to all of those patients who had to reschedule during the shelter-in-place orders made by th...e city, county and state to get people caught up with their dental care. We will be contacting you about rescheduling soon, if we haven’t already done so. We also would like to reassure you that we are following the guidelines the CDC, ADA, and CDA have established for a safe return to practice and we hope you will be rejoining us in the near future. Please be aware that we are seeing less people each day than we used to, so we do ask for your patience with our reduced schedule availability. Our goal is safety first and foremost! Lastly, we are aware there are some of you who may have some hesitation or reservations about returning to dental care at this particular moment in time, please know that we do understand this, and we will wait for you to rejoin us when you feel comfortable doing so again. This is undoubtedly going to be a healing journey for all of us in the community and we want to make sure this is as positive an experience as possible for you. Dear Patients, Our profession has been allowed to return to providing elective procedures, however, due to the ongoing shortage of PPE’s from our dental suppliers, we will only be returning to a very limited opening of routine dental care at this point. For now, we will only be engaged in low-aerosol producing patient care, such as examinations and cleanings (without an ultrasonic water scaler), and minor denture adjustments. We of course, will continue to provide emergency... dental care services to our regular patients, as we have been doing since the shelter-in-place orders began in March. Restorative procedures (such as fillings and crowns) will likely be delayed until dental suppliers can provide our profession with sufficient PPE. An exception might be made in the case of very deep cavities, providing sufficient PPE is present for us to care for it. We honestly do not know when our PPE will be adequate to fully open up for regular restorative care, but we hope it will be relatively soon. Our medical colleagues, understandably, have top priority with PPE at the moment while they are dealing with this pandemic and we do extend our thanks to all those providers for keeping our community safe during these unusual times . We will slowly expand our hours of availability starting May 11th from 10-1 to 9-3, Monday through Thursday, and 9-12 noon on Friday’s. As the weeks continue to pass, we will expand those time frames and we will announce our new availabilities as we go. Our goal is to reschedule all examination and cleaning appointments first so that we can catch people up on their basic care needs. We will be contacting you as spaces and times become available, and we ask you to be patient with our rescheduling needs since there are a large number of patients backlogged for treatment. Dear patients, the State of California and the California Dental Association have asked all dental offices in the state to see emergency-only care indefinitely. As a result, all routine dental procedures (cleanings, fillings, denture work and crowns) will now be postponed until we receive authorization to resume those procedures. We are in hopeful anticipation that we will be able to resume some level of routine care by June 1st, but that is just an estimate. It may be befo...re or after that date. We do understand all of our patient's anxieties and frustrations surrounding this situation. Rest assured we are doing everything we possible can to provide you with a safe atmosphere upon your return to our office. We will maintain a physical office presence for emergency-only care between 10am-1pm, Monday through Friday until further notice.
