Love color challenges!! New client with super long, semi thick hair with lots of dark color a few inches from roots and about 1/2 of feet outgrowth. 6 or more inches of reddish ends. She wanted a Carmel balayage look. So this is how I tackled this.... I started in the back doing teasy lights with Joico Blonde Life 40 vol, then added a little Schwartzcopf clay lightener with binder already in it.... tips from BTC University, adding different lighteners together for the consis...tency and speed of lightening you want. In between teasy lights I painted grey with 2.5 framesi futura with 15 vol. application took 2 hours. It only sat for 30 mins after application. I then rinsed everything and toned with 5n Paul Mitchell Demi’s. Her hair came out strong, and beautiful with no breakage. Things are definitely a little different for now and I’m not sure how long things will be this way. I am implementing some new policies to keep everything running smoothly. No shows or cancellations with less than 24 hours will be charged $25 in order to rebook. In the past I would never feel comfortable doing this but my time is valuable to me and most of my clients are so kind and thoughtful that they would offer to pay me even before having any kind of policy. I’ve known everyone so long it feels more like friends than just clients. Friends or not this is still my business and I have to continue treating it like one. I am very grateful to re-open Monday June 1st. It’s time to make Fresno and our surrounding areas beautiful again!
