The 8000sf ARB residence in Beverly Hills masks its size by nesting itself into the hillside strategically. Returning to 2007 to a project that started as a cosmetic treatment of a warehouse facade and then turned into explorations of a lifted mass. The lift and bend generates a tessellation of a presumed rigid body, indexing opportunities for apertures, stairwells and other programmatic components - a theme that is repeatedly investigated in the office.
